About Us

Our Beliefs

Horse behaviour is just that, horse behaviour, but it is possible to learn about ourselves in the way we feel about this behaviour, how we react to the horse and what is mirrored by the horse.

All of our horses are well-handled, calm and gentle. They are comfortable around people and are confident that they will be safe in the presence of people.

We make every effort to ensure that their needs are met at all times, and that the five freedoms of animal welfare are observed.

It is important to us that both visitors and horses feel respected and safe in each other’s company. We endeavour to allow each and every person to express their wishes and to feel heard by us.

We hope you enjoy your time with us and leave with a deep feeling of relaxation.

Our Story

At the age of 13, due to an unhappy event, I was bought a pony. Since that day, I have never been without!

In my younger days I trained and worked with horses, which was a great experience.

Upon leaving the busy equine world, I worked in various administrative positions, and have been involved in education within schools and outside with other organisations. I left education to train as a Nurse, and worked in Health Care for about 20 years.

Over the years, I have attended many courses: equine, education, and health-related, both in person and online. Some courses I have loved, some not so much, but I have always learned something. Through these, I have become a qualified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator, Reiki Master and Nurse. Currently, I am undertaking a qualification in hypnotherapy.

Throughout all this time, my relationship with people and horses has been ongoing, developing, and changing, and now we are here, with all the knowledge, skills, and understanding to be able to offer my dream job, Equine Assisted Learning.

We are here to support people for whatever reason, or for no reason at all. We encourage you to come and engage with our delightful herd, who I am proud to call ‘our guys’. Along with my wonderful supportive husband, our guys and myself welcome you to spend restorative time with us: time to stop, reflect, and relax in a non-judgemental, safe place, all whilst enjoying the benefits of being with ponies in the environment.
